Arts & Crafts

Creativity can be enjoyed at any age, and our arts and crafts activities give residents the opportunity to explore different interests and enjoy making something of their own. From simple creative projects to seasonal crafts, these sessions offer an enjoyable way to spend time, whether someone has always loved being artistic or would simply like to try something different.

A Relaxed, No-Pressure Space to Create

There’s no pressure to produce a finished masterpiece here. Residents can take part in a way that suits them, enjoying the process and working at their own pace, whether that’s a quick seasonal craft or something they return to over several sessions. Some residents enjoy sharing ideas and chatting with others nearby, while some prefer to quietly focus on their own project.

These sessions often take place in our lounges, making it easy for residents to drop in and out as they feel like it, rather than committing to a fixed slot.

Part of Everyday Life, Not a One-Off

Arts and crafts at Elstree Court is a regular part of our activities programme, with seasonal projects shaped around what residents enjoy. Our team pays attention to what works for each person, whether that’s painting, flower arranging or something entirely different.

For anyone living with us in residential care, these sessions are an easy way to keep up a creative interest and spend time with others. They are just as open to residents on a short-term respite stay, who can join in and get to know people during their time with us.
